Hi Mike – what dates at Denbury and Gosport?
Rgds John
Hi, I came back to this page looking for looking for a pic of Audemer. i think I went to Denbury around 62, I arrived not long after the fire. I arrived
in Gosport as the RASC was rebadging to RCT. Spent time in the Comcen, on the 61 and the 41, Sorry its taken so long, Tech is wonderful when it
works. Mike
Hi Mike
Thanks for the eMail and comments on my website.
I am attaching a picture of the Audemer which isnât very good but â I spent some time on here as well as some of the others.
I was 5 years at Gosport which was some of the best years of my army career.
Regards John

Hi. I am currently working on the Royal Signals Centenary book – for and by the Corps and non-profit – due out early next year. I am desperate to find an image of Denbury Camp and found yours, which would be ideal. Would you be kind enough to give us your permission to use your image for the book? We will of course give you due acknowledgement. Kind regards Adam Forty adam@royalsignalsmuseum.co.uk
Hello John, I’m also Ex – Royal Signals, (A bit of a sprog, came through Harrogate 81C), I am interested in the LCT aspects, I’m researching my fathers service history (he was REME) I have one or two pictures of that period, first with 46 SQN RASC LCT out in the far east, then later 72 & 73 SQN’s RCT in Gosport & Bahrain, all between the years of 1960 – 1966, some pictures I think of L4061 & L4097I note one of the pictures of the crew has a couple of fellow scaleys in it, think it is on one of the runs to the Hebrides. My mum told me I was supposed to have been christened on one of the LCT’s but had to make do with Portsmouth Cathedral as they were deployed…. Dad also did 18 SQN DUKW in Fremington/ Instow after his REME Tiffy course, if anyone can remember him that would be great
